Capcom has decided to give gamers a taste of what the upcoming Capcom Arcade Cabinet collection for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has in store.
The upcoming release bundles together 30 games, and yesterday, we found out 14 of them. Today, we have the full list, thanks to the publisher's blog. The company is also offering Black Tiger — the spiritual successor to Ghosts ‘n Goblins — for free on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live as a promotion.
There's a catch, though. "Black Tiger is yours free on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network," wrote Capcom. "However, those downloading on XBLA will only receive one credit, whereas PS3 users will have unlimited credits. 360 players will be able to play the entire game as much as they’d like, just without continues. Sorry about that, but it’s due to how different first party platforms distinguish demos and such."
Other games, like 1942 and Commando, will cost you. Each pack contains a few titles, but you can also buy them as a single deal. Packs will release every two weeks starting February 19. These features full HD optimization, virtual dip switch functionality, online and co-op multiplayer, Casual mode, leaderboards, Trophies and Achievements, a music player, unlockable bonuses (like original arcade flyers and banner art), and Facebook and YouTube integration.
Capcom made another note that puts Xbox 360 players at a disadvantage: "Xbox 360 users will need to purchase the discounted Game Pack 1 in order to access further Capcom Arcade Cabinet content, and neither 1943 or Avenger will be available for individual purchase via XBLA. PS3 owners will have access to all of the titles individually in the Capcom Arcade Collection, and so will Xbox owners, with the sole exception of the two aforementioned titles. Again, apologies."
