The Game Awards 2014: Darling Bloodborne gameplay

As a spiritual successor to the infamous ‘Souls’ series, the more Bloodborne shows off the more it seems fitting to fall under that prestigious title. The premier footage shown at the awards ceremony gave us some of that pure Souls action we’ve all come to love to hate.

There were a solid amounts of surprises when safety was implied, we got to see the protagonist wield a damn flamethrower, there was a fair amount of jolly-cooperation, and of course some werewolf transformations. In Bloodborne, the mad blood is some form of lycanthropy – the fact that this boss transforms mid way only proves this point further.

So what was learned?

  • Surprises, spooky.
  • Flamethrower, hawt.
  • Coop, jolly.
  • Werewolf transformation, wicked.

I’m still hyped. Is it 2015 yet?
