Well that was fast. It was just yesterday that director Paul Feig revealed the cast of Sony Pictures' Ghostbusters reboot. The new all-female cast includes Bridesmaids actresses Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig. Joining them are two SNL cast members not as well known, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.
Things move fast in the film industry, so Sony and Feig are wasting no time getting this show on the road. Production on the Ghostbusters reboot is set to begin in June 2015. Sony Pictures also has a target release date of July 22, 2016. That's the same day the new Power Rangers film is set to release.
So it looks like we are going to see a double feature that day?
Who's your money on: Feig's Ghostbusters reboot (which LEGO Movie directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord insists is ripe with more material), or Power Rangers?
