Back in April, Toho Studio revealed that they had acquired the rights to film the next Japanese version of the monster movie. Since 1954, Toho has been the home of Godzilla movies in Japan, to date they have released 28 Godzilla films.
After Godzilla: Resurgence releases in 2016, the rights to Godzilla will return to Warner Bros. in order for the studio to create the sequel to the 2014 Godzilla film.
Toho has released the first teaser for Godzilla: Resurgence and it looks like they decided to have a jackhammer carry the camera through streets filled with terrified Japanese citizens. The teaser doesn't show off Godzilla, but it does let us hear him roar. Check out the teaser below.
