When the first trailer for Disney-Pixar's The Good Dinosaur was released, I didn't really know how to feel. There wasn't much in terms of voice acting, the style of the dinosaurs looked a little out of place when compared to the realistic environments, and I just wasn't wowed in terms of the concept. The second official trailer for The Good Dinosaur has cleared up my doubts, and I'm now excited to see the film.
After recasting the entire voice cast and seeing more of the film's heart in this trailer, The Good Dinosaur looks like a touching film, hopefully somewhere along the lines of Wall-E and Finding Nemo. If there's one thing Pixar is good at, it's making you feel things. And it looks like the film's T-Rexes are like Finding Nemo's sharks.
Here's the official synopsis of The Good Dinosaur:
The Good Dinosaur asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
The film stars Jeffrey Wright, Frances McDormand, Marcus Scribner, Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Steve Zahn, AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin and Sam Elliot. The Good Dinosaur will open in theaters on November 25, 2015.
