The Halo 5: Guardians opening cinematic is here

Earlier today, Microsoft teased something big for Halo 5: Guardians. That something turned out to be the opening cinematic for the highly anticipated game.

Revealed tonight on Buzzfeed (of all places), the cinematic effectively establishes the tone and scope of Halo 5: Guardians — teamwork and squad-based gameplay. In this particular sequence we're introduced to Spartan Locke and the rest of Fireteam Osiris (Buck, Tanaka, and Vale) as they kickoff what looks to be an action-packed rescue mission against the notorious Covenant.

Check it out below and be sure to visit Buzzfeed for their in-depth analysis and explanation of what an opening cinematic is. It's a real doozy.
