The ‘Infinity War’ films are officially being re-titled, according to the Russo Bros.

The "Part I & II" are being dropped...but for what?

The Russo Bros. have confirmed that 'Avengers: Infinity War- Parts I & II" are officially being re-titled before release.

We've known for a while that all the Marvel Studios movies and television series' are eventually going to culminate in a massive, two-part film event known as 'Avengers: Infinity War', both with the supplementary titles 'Part I and II'. While fans have been waiting with bated breathe throughout all the newest Marvel Studios content, it seems that before we're rewarded for out loyalty, the Russo Bros., directors of both films, as well as the Captain America films 'Winter Soldier' and 'Civil War', have confirmed some big changes beforehand.

It seems that they plan to omit the "Parts I and II" from the titles of the films, but the project will remain a two-part epic. The first movie will still be titled 'Avengers: Infinity War', while the second movie's title is still to be determined. The release dates will also stay the same, but there's no word on where the second film in the series will go or even what it will be called.
