The internet has been reacting to the new Pokemon Sun/Moon starters about like you’d expect

I've been looking forward to this day since Pokemon Sun and Moon were leaked and confirmed a couple months ago. It's no surprise that many other Pokemon fans felt the same way, and as such they quickly took to the internet to express how they felt about the newly revealed starters.

What's initially apparent is that the Water starter, Popplio is the least favorite of the three and that the Grass/Flying, Rowlet is #1.

I have to say I agree with this assessment. I'm all about that owl. But poor Popplio.

This one is probably the best. Garfield and Litten just feel like they go together.

But if that's not what you're into, maybe the starters as a group of super ripped dudes will tickle your fancy.

Despite the initial hate on Popplio, it's way too early to formulate a permanent opinion. Remember how derpy Chespin looked when it was first revealed for Pokemon X/Y? By the time it became Chesnaught, no amount of initial goofiness could overcome how awesome it looked.

All hail Chesnaught.
