The Jetsons are coming back as a Live-Action TV series

Nostalgia is the biggest money maker in Hollywood right now, and it looks like yet another classic IP will be making a return. The Jetsons are being revived as a Live Action TV Show courtesy of Warner Bros. as reported by TV Line and is in development right now for a 2018 release.

Robert Zemeckis is currently onboard as the show's Executive Producer alongside Family Guy EP, Gary Janetti and Cast Away's Jack Rapke with Jackie Levine as a Co-EP. It is said that Warner Bros. will begin shopping the series around to different cable networks in the next few weeks.

The series will once again feature George, Jane, Judy, and Elroy Jetson alongside their dog, Elroy and be set 100 years in the future. The original series launched in 1962 and was also set 100 years in the future in 2062. The new series will take place in 2118.

The Jetsons is also getting a new animated film with Sausage Party's Conrad Vernon directing.
