‘Joy Ride’ Update introduces cars to the frantic action of Fortnite

With more and more formidable battle royale games becoming available, the battle royale is careful to not be left in the dust by sticking to an old formula. That’s exactly why with Joy Ride a brand-new way to play Fortnite is here now.

A total of four unique vehicles will now inhabit the massive world of Fortnite and will no doubt become the new hotly contested item to fight over. From the mundane sedan to a sports car, off-road pickup to behemoth truck, there’s a nice selection of vehicles, each adding their specific flair.

Buckle up. Blow past enemies with the Whiplash or go full throttle through structures with the Mudflap. Experience the Joy Ride with this new update now. Wherever you find yourself on the Island, jump behind the wheel with your squadmates and venture out to find more friends (or enemies).

The developers even added an extra layer of functionality with the addition of gas pumps by which players can fill up the tanks. Or just scavenge for gas canisters located all across the map and throw them at your car for a quick refill.

And for that extra amount of immersion (and bragging rights), the update also includes radio stations that can be tuned in while driving. Blast some hot tunes while you drive to win.
