The Last Jedi will reveal 'The Most Shocking Truth In Star Wars History' according to new Japanese promo materials

It was said about The Force Awakens that it emulated many of the same beats that made A New Hope the great movie that it was. Well, if this new promo material is any indication, The Last Jedi sounds like it'll be looking to The Empire Strikes Back for a little narrative punch. According to a new post, found by Star Wars News Net, The Last Jedi will supposedly feature "The Most Shocking Truth In Star Wars History."

The Most Shocking Truth In Star Wars History Will Soon Be Revealed!

A new generation’s tale of the struggles of light and dark, virtue and evil has begun with the death of Han Solo.

In a Galaxy where First Order and the Resistance are fighting against each other in a war, the heroine, Rey, had the Force awaken within her.

What will happen to the galaxy when Rey and the only remaining Jedi knight, Luke Skywalker, meet?

Kylo Ren has fallen to the Dark Side of the Force and killed his father, Han Solo. As a successor of his grandfather, Darth Vader, and a high ranking enforcer in the First Order, where will his ambition lead him to?

Furthermore, Kylo Ren’s mother, the leader of the Resistance, Leia, Poe, Finn, and BB-8, will embark on a new mission!

The story has finally begun and it will lead to a mysterious climax!
December 15. Be ready for the shocking truth surpassing the previous stories!

Old school traditionalists will find it hard to believe that anything The Last Jedi pulls can possibly top "I am your Father," but we'll see. Obviously, Rey's parentage, Supreme Leader Snoke's identity, the Knights of Ren, and what Luke Skywalker has been doing for 30 years are big points of speculation could very well be what the poster is referring to.

Then again, it's advertising, so of course, it's going to be hyped up regardless of the end product. What is the poster supposed to say? "Hey, The Last Jedi is good, but we can't top Empire, so don't let your expectations get away from you?" Pfff. They've got to sell those tickets.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases in theaters on December 15th, 2017.
