The Last of Us: Left Behind dated for Valentine’s Day release

Naughty Dog may have plans to announce the release date of The Last of Us' upcoming DLC, Left Behind, "very soon," but it looks like the PlayStation Store beat them to the punch. Over on Sony's digital store, the release date for the new content has been set to February 14, 2014 — or Valentine's Day.

Forget chocolate. You now have something even better to get your loved one for that special day. We're still awaiting official announcement from Sony or Naughty Dog, so until that happens I urge you to treat this as a rumor. I'm thinking this could be legit though.

Left Behind acts as a prequel "of sorts" to the main campaign in The Last of Us. It explores the relationship of Ellie and her best friend Riley as they attend a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone. Other than that, much of the DLC's plot remains a mystery, though you may recall Ellie mentioning being bitten by one of the Infected while with Riley.
