The Last of Us' upcoming story-driven DLC, Left Behind, received a few more details this week thanks, in part, to an interview with voice acress Ashley Johnson (Ellie). And while we learned a great deal about the different feel it'll have from the main campaign, we still don't know when it'll be available.
Don't worry, a release date is coming "really soon," according to Naughty Dog's Eric Monacelli. Answering questions in the comments section of the PlayStation blog, Monacelli offered the standard "early 2014" window. Providing a bit more context, he added, "We'll be talking about it really soon!!!"
Left Behind acts as a prequel "of sorts" to the main campaign in The Last of Us. It explores the relationship of Ellie and her best friend Riley as they attend a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone. Other than that, much of the DLC's plot remains a mystery, though you may recall Ellie mentioning being bitten by one of the Infected while with Riley. We'll have to see if the new content addresses that.
