The vaunted photo mode for The Last of Us Remastered will be part of a day-one patch for the already massive game (approximately 50GB install), which will also include Grounded, the full-length documentary covering the making of the original game.
“One of the things that we wanted to include was the share mode, especially after we saw the reaction for the inFamous photo mode,” Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer told Eurogamer. “It’s something that’s added in the day-one patch. It’s just to add a couple of features. It was one of those things where if we wanted to hit our timeline and do a couple of extra things it’s in that day one patch.”
The remastered version of the PS3 hit was deemed completely finished just six days ago and will release July 29. It has been confirmed for PS4 bundles within Europe and Japan, but no such affairs have been announced for the states.
The Last of Us showed up in today’s news as well, in the most surprising of ways: a one-night-only theatrical performance of the game, acted out by its principal actors.
