The Last of Us’ third DLC will add new single player difficulty

The third and final DLC drop in The Last of Us' Season Pass will introduce a brand new difficulty mode for the single player campaign, Naughty Dog has revealed.

Though the majority of its contents will be multiplayer focused, "chock full" with new maps, weapons, and skills, the new difficulty mode should provide a refreshing gameplay experience for those of you not ready to move on from one of the greatest games of the PS3 era.

"We’ll have more information on [the new DLC] as in-game elements near completion," Naughty Dog said.

In the meantime, players can currently enjoy the the game's second DLC release, Left Behind, a prequel "of sorts" to the original single player campaign.
