By now you've heard the news. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a fantastic game, and that's a notion that is shared by critics far and wide. As it turns out, Breath of the Wild has broken Metacritic's record for the most perfect critic scores in history, with 51 at the last count. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and The Last of Us were the previous record holders, with both coming in at 42. The record break was noted on both Reddit and NeoGAF, and suffice it to say; it's well deserved.
As it stands now, the game is in a 3-way tie for the second highest scored game of all time, sitting alongside Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, and Grand Theft Auto IV holding a 98 average Metascore. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time sits at number one with a 99.
Breath of the Wild has quickly become the talk of the entire industry, most notably for its true sandbox style gameplay, letting gamers discover new things each time they play in a very organic way. There's tons of inspiration everywhere you look, and some of it is absolutely hilarious.
