The teaser poster revealed for the upcoming Wolverine sequel, 'Logan', has been explained, along with new plot details.
Ever since the official title and teaser poster was revealed for the final installment to Wolverine's trilogy, 'Logan', the image has left a lot of speculation, mainly the question of who the child is holding Logan's hand. As it turn out, the one popular theory floating amongst fans has been substantiated and the hand does in fact belong to Laura Kinney, aka X-23, Wolverine's daughter/clone.
As far as the plot, the official report is that the film does take place in the future (circa 2024) where mutant births are at an all time low. With options being limited, the Weapon X program that created Wolverine, is now known as "Transigen", helmed by Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook) and Dr. Zander Rice (Richard E. Grant). When Laura is designed as a new killing machine, Logan takes responsibility for her.
Finally, despite speculation and the post-credit scene for 'X-Men: Apocalypse', the classic villain, Mr. Sinister will not be making his debut in 'Logan'. There's no word on whether he'll show up in a future project or if there are any plans in general for the character, but its not something to ever rule out.
