The Lost Boys TV adaptation to replace Vampire Diaries on The CW

Once the Vampire Diaries ends.

The 1987 horror comedy that starred Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman is making a comeback. The Lost Boys is headed to The CW to replace The Vampire Diaries once the show comes to an end, because the only way to replace one vampire show is with another vampire show.

The new Lost Boys will come from mastermind Rob Thomas, the man that brought us Veronica Mars and iZombie. The CW is planning on running the Lost Boys for around seven season, with each season chronicling 10-years.

The first season will be set in San Francisco, during the Summer of Love – 1967. Each season will feature different humans, settings, antagonist, and story. The only things that won't change will be the Lost Boys (because they are immortal). According to the project details, the series will explore what it really means to be immortal
