The lovechild of GTA 1 and Hotline Miami – Tokyo 42

Imagine that the old school Syndicate game and the Assassin's Creed multiplayer mode had a child. Now imagine that child growing up and marrying Hotline Miami. The child of that marriage would be Tokyo 42.

That's the feel that the trailer for SMAC's new game gives, or how if we let them describe it themselves "Tokyo 42 is the lovechild of Syndicate and GTA 1.".

Tokyo 42 is set in the future and will let players control an assassin who undercovers a dark conspiracy that will affect everyone! But if this set-up is too serious for you, just remember that you can also play as a cat.

The game will have a open-world single player AND a competitive multiplayer mode. Players get to buy weapons, tools, and such to be able to complete the challenges that future Tokyo holds.

Mode7, makers of Frozen Synapse, is also involved in the development and has a lot of experience with the type and style of game that Tokyo 42 wants to be. In 2017 we will get to see if Tokyo 42 delivers on its premise or not.
