The Lunar Revel has arrived upon League of Legends

It’s that magical time of the year for Runeterra; a time for lanterns (not Thresh), kimonos, fireworks, and festivals. Don’t get me wrong, there is a ton more to this celebration than decorum and parties, it represents an inner spirit. League of Legends welcomes you to choose your path this year as part of the Lunar Revel. Will you back the path of the power (Tryndamere), truth (Diana), or freedom (Riven)?

The representatives of the three paths all have new skins as well. If you haven’t checked out Lunar Goddess Diana, Warring Kingdoms Tryndamere, or Dragonblade Riven… do yourself a favor and do that right now.

Alongside the Lunar Reveal are bundles, ward skins, and summoner icons to unlock. How do you unlock said icons, allow me to enlighten you:

• Year of the Horse: win a matchmade game during the Lunar Revel
• Warring Kingdoms Tryndamere: seize power in two matchmade games in Summoner’s Rift
• Lunar Goddess Diana: play two matchmade games in Twisted Treeline or Crystal Scar
• Dragonblade Riven: play two matchmade games on Howling Abyss

There you have it. The event starts today and will continue on for two weeks from now. Update your client, play a variety of games, unlock icons, buy some skins (new and old), deck out your wards, and you’re good to go. Celebrate the moon in style.
