The New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Edition is already sold out at GameStop

Well, that didn't take long. It has been less than an hour since Nintendo announced the New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora's Mask Edition, and it's already sold out at GameStop.

For those who missed the announcement during today's Nintendo Direct, New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora's Mask Edition is basically just the new 3DS model with a fancy theme inspired by The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. In the United States, it doesn't even include a copy of The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D pre-installed.

But that didn't stop Nintendo fanboys from rushing to the retailer's website to claim the coveted item. According to GameStop's website, the Majora's Mask Edition is already sold out. While it's not a GameStop exclusive, it looks like it will be a hot commodity judging by how fast it sold out at one of the largest gaming retailers, so good luck searching elsewhere.

On the bright side, you can still pre-order the GameStop-exclusive New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter 4 Edition for $229.99, and that includes a copy of Monster Hunter 4.
