The next downloadable Pikachu is now available to Pokemon Sun and Moon players

Two weeks ago, Pokemon Sun and Moon players were able to grab the first of several exclusive Pikachu that don the cap of Ash Ketchum. Since each game only allows you to redeem the code once, many undoubtedly went for the classic Ash cap, but if you preferred the perpetual ten-year old's adventures in Gen 4's Sinnoh, now's the time to redeem your code.

Available from now until October 9th, players can grab an exclusive Pikachu with Ash's Sinnoh cap and a moveset reflective of the one used during his time in the region. Pikachu also comes holding a special Z-Crystal, Pikashunium Z, which can't be obtained by normal means in the game which lets players use the devastating Z-Move, 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt.

Here's a breakdown of the info on the Sinnoh Pikachu.

Level: 9

Nature: Hardy

Gender: Male

Ability: Static

Moves:

  • Thunderbolt

  • Quick Attack

  • Iron Tail

  • Volt Tackle

To get Pikachu, do the following:

  1. Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.

  2. Select Receive Gift.

  3. Select Get with Code/Password, then Yes, then Yes again to connect to the internet.

  4. Enter the code PIKACHU20.

  5. Watch the animation, as you receive Pikachu.

  6. Head into the game and speak to the delivery person in any Pokémon Center.

  7. Be sure to save, or you will lose Pikachu forever if you turn off the game.

And here's a breakdown of the remaining giveaways. Remember, you can only use the code once, so choose wisely.

  • October 10th – 16th – Unova hat (Black/White)

  • October 17th – 23rd – Kalos hat (X/Y)

  • October 24th – 30th – Alola hat (Sun/Moon)

Pokemon Sun and Moon is available now for Nintendo 3DS with its follow-ups Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon releasing on November 17th, 2017.
