The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon aired on this day in 1987

Man, I feel old. Turns out that 28 years ago, on this very date, the world was introduced to the first episode of Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles. Sure, they may have existed 3 years prior to that in comic form, but this was the very first time everyone would get to see these heroes in a half-shell on their TV screen, along with that amazing intro song, that is still better than any other iteration of the Ninja Turtles that has released since then.

And with that, I leave you with the best theme song ever made. That's a fact, Jack.
