The open beta for Overwatch has been extended to let the players test the game for free for one more day. Time to get a few more games in.
The open beta was meant to end today, May 9, but has graciously been extended by Blizzard for one more day, to May 10. It has been extended on all platforms, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, so everyone gets to play the game a bit more.
They announced the extension via their forums, apparently this is Blizzard's way of saying "thank you" to those who participated in the beta and helped in making the game better. Seems like the beta players were just as valuable as the Call of Duty Black Ops developers were in helping making the game great.
"So, as a small way of saying "thank you" to our community and the millions of players who've logged in so far, we will be extending the Open Beta by 1 day on all platforms."
The new closing time for the open beta is May 10 at 10.00 am PDT, 1.00 pm EDT (19:00 CEST, May 11 02.00 JST). So grab your friends who made up lazy excuses to not play the beta and get a few more games of Overwatch in.
Overwatch is set for release on May 24.
