Two scum bags from Iowa, Kevin Norton, 18, and James Stumbo, 27, were arrested by the Boston Police Department after making threats over social media regarding the Pokemon World Championships. In their vehicle was a shotgun, a rifle, several hundred rounds of ammo, and a hunting knife.
The threats were flagged by private sector security at the convention center, who then relayed the crucial information to the Boston Police Department. Thanks to their efforts, a deadly massacre was avoided at an event that's supposed to be safe, family friendly fun.
There are some sick people out there, and this will undoubtedly be used as more fuel for stricter management of firearms. People are going to be talking about how shitty American cultural problems regarding firearms have become. It's pretty damn bad.
There's a lot of negativity lately, especially around America's police forces in general, so I want to focus on the positive and say thank you to the public safety personnel at the Massachusetts Convention Center and BPD for being on point.
