Devastation, the newest batch of DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts, may feature a surprise appearance. Developer Infinity Ward released a teaser for the content, which is due out April 3rd, on their Instagram account.
Yes, that does sound familiar. For those who don’t recall that eerie sound, go watch Predator, the 1980s action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, and Jesse Ventura. Seriously; go watch it. I’ll be waiting here.
Now that you’re back from your testosterone filled frenzy, I’d like to remind everybody that the possibility of the Predator appearing in Call of Duty DLC isn’t as far-fetched as it seems. The franchise has seen cameos from Michael Meyers, JFK, Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, and Robert McNamara.
So what type of role will the Predator get to play next week? Presumably it’ll be a new game mode, but other than the teaser, Infinity Ward isn’t talking. We’ll just have to wait.
In addition to the (assumed) Predator appearance, Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation will include four new maps (Collision, Ruins, Behemoth, and Unearthed) as well as the next chapter of the four-player co-op story, Extinction.
