Good news everyone! The Predator reboot appears to be going full steam ahead as it is reported to begin filming late next month. Simply titled 'The Predator,' the movie is due to begin shooting on February 20th, 2017 up in Vancouver according to MyEntertainmentWorld. As it stands now, The Predator is due to release in theaters on February 9th, 2018, so production will last just under a year.
Olivia Munn and Boyd Holbrook are currently on tap to star in the film while Iron Man 3's Shane Black is set to direct. There haven't been too many details on the movie itself, other than it's set in the present day and will supposedly take place "in the harsh environment of … suburbia."
The Predator has certainly had its issues getting off the ground, namely with Benicio Del Toro dropping out of the project, but things finally appear to be on track. Let's just hope they can make their scheduled February 2018 release date.
