Sometimes you have to ask yourself what would it take for you to spend over $28,000 on a watch. The only time this question will present itself is when some high-end company makes a limited item that will unfortunately sell out.
This is exactly what the high-end American Watch company Devon has set out to do. They will be creating 500 Darth Vader inspired watches that will be $28,500 apiece. Granted, it is pretty cool looking, but it will single you out as the pretentious person that decided to spend a lot of money on a watch.
"The technology for our watches didn't exist," Devon founder and creative director Scott Devon said in a statement. "We had to create everything from scratch and invent as we went along. This project came into being because of our revolutionary design and desire to strive for something different."
That's right folks, instead of using engineers and designers for something other than a luxurious one-time wear item, they have been hard at work creating the technology to make this watch happen.
The watch itself looks gigantic, but if you still have a wrist left after putting it on you'll be happy to hear that it comes with matching TIE Fighter cufflinks.
