The reason for Suicide Squad reshoots revealed

Rumors suggested that the reshoot for the next DC film Suicide Squad was to add more humor to the film, but according director David Ayer it is NOT the case.

With Batman v Superman getting surprisingly low scores in the US, rumors surfaced that the reshooting of Suicide Squad was to add more humor to lighten up the film up and make it a bit less serious than Batman v Superman.

Apparently, that is not the case. David Ayer took to Twitter to officially state that the reshooting has nothing to do with adding more humor and making it a lighter film.

This is also backed up by actor Jai Courtney, Captain Boomerang, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I wouldn't say we're going back to make it funnier, there's some additional action stuff that we've been doing. Which is pretty dope," revealed Courtney.

Basically, they are just going back to add more to the film because the studio said they could if they wanted to.

A new trailer was released today as well showing more of what fans can expect for the Suicide Squad film.

The film itself is scheduled for release August 5.
