The Red Bull Battle Grounds Gran Finals takes to the streets of D.C. to celebrate eSports

Red Bull eSports is heading to Washington DC this month to spread the eSports love with panels, a welcome event for the Korean competitors, meet and greets, the Red Bull Battle Grounds Grand Finals and an after party (if you're old enough to party). Basically, September 18th – September 21st are going to be awesome for eSports enthusiasts in D.C..

You might be wanting details for these events (who wouldn't want details for this?!), and luckily enough we have an entire agenda planned out for you.

Starting on Thursday, September 18th, you'll be invited to learn about the business of eSports from a bunch of panelists that are the trail blazers of the industry. The panel will take place at Geargetown University at 6:30PM EST, if you can't make it – don't worry. There will a live stream of the panel that you can watch here.

The featured panelists are:

  • Sean ‘Day[9]’ Plott, eSports personality and game developer
  • Ben Goldhaber, Director of Content Marketing, Twitch.tv
  • Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, veteran eSports journalist
  • Craig Levine, Vice President, ESL America
  • Chris Radtke, Director of Content Strategy, Ziff Davis

On the following day (Friday, September 19th), you'll be invited to welcome the Korean competitors at the Korean Cultural Center (10AM EST). There will be a 'special event' as well as a press conference with select players. After that you get a couple hours of rest then you head down to the Marvin (Marvin 20007 14th Street NW, 2nd Floor) at around 7PM to mingle with the players and event commentators. They'll be battling the next day, so make sure to wish them luck.

Hope you're not tired yet, there's still two more days of eSports madness!

On Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st – the true event begins. The Red Bull Battle Grounds Gran Finals will be taking place at the Lincoln Theatre. You'll be watching eight players duke it out in StarCraft II for the title of Champion and a $50K prize pool.

After the madness on Sunday, there's going to be an after party. Make sure you have your ID's ready – it's for everyone that is 21 years old or older. Luckily, there's no cover charge. Make sure you head over to HEIST (802 Jefferson Pl, NW) at 9PM EST.

So, we planned out your itinerary…Don't miss it!
