The Resident Evil 7 finger may have a purpose… in the future; possible update in September

In case you're one of the many still searching for whatever secrets the Resident Evil 7 may hide, Capcom has confirmed more or less that there is nothing more to be found. However, there may be something in the future. A vague image was sent to Resident Evil Ambassadors that teased that the ominous finger that can be found in the demo that appears to have no purpose even after 3+ weeks of searching for its use.

The image alludes to the fact that we have reached the ending and can not go any further, but in the future we may get new content. Something else of note is the calendar in the background. In the top left you can see it is set for September, and there's also a blood stain right where September 28th may be. It's a bit of a leap, but we may see something new whether in the form of a trailer, a new demo, or just an update to the current demo.

We will continue to keep you updated as the story develops. Resident Evil 7 will release January 24th, 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and will allow players to play the whole game through PSVR if they choose. Some of the leads on the project also recently gave some insight as to what we can expect in the title and stress how different the game is compared to more recent entries.
