Japan has made the impossible, possible. They have managed to recreate the smell of a cats forehead and bottle it for feline-fanatics to spray all over their belongings. That's right, they did not recreate the smell of a cats belly, neck or rear (thank fully), they have specifically bottled the forehead smell.
If you're allergic to cats you might be wondering, 'what does cat forehead smell like…?' Well, when faced with this exact question respondents likened cat foreheads to “the smell of sunshine”; “a futon that’s been dried in the sun” and “sweet bread.”
Apparently, the head of Yamamoto Perfumery took the job of recreating the scent seriously, he spent time sniffing the foreheads cat cafes checking the similarity between fragrances and cat faces. After four months of testing and development, the fabric spray has finally been released. Somehow, the creators managed to bottle the "smell of sunshine" and sun-dried futons.
Called the “Moho Mohu Odeko no Kaori Fabric Water” (“Fluffy Forehead Fragrance Fabric Water”) is being sold by the online retailer Felissimo, who suggests pairing the scent with a giant stuffed cat head. The company isn't shipping overseas yet.
