Last week, Konami officially cancelled the Silent Hills video game. Following the official cancellation they removed the game's playable demo, P.T.. Of course, scammers saw this as an opportunity as a way to sell PlayStation 4 consoles with the demo installed on them for unreasonable prices.
Anyone that had at one point downloaded the demo then deleted it, was at least able to re-download it again after it was removed from the PlayStation Store. There's even a "stop-working" date in the demo's file.
Unfortunately, that no longer appears to be the case as P.T. appears to have been deleted entirely. If you didn't take the opportunity to re-download it, you will not be able to do so from here on out. You can foresee those PlayStation 4's on eBay with the demo on them spiking up in price — even moreso than their original price.
Konami erased P.T. almost as thoroughly as they erased the Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima. There are odd things happening at Konami — since the game's cancellation and the upset with Kojima they delisted from the New York Stock Exchange. It will be interesting to see where things go from here.
