The Sims 3 is about to get Dragons and Movie Stuff

In just a few weeks, The Sims 3 players are about to go on a boat and travel to some exotic locations. We've been aware of the latest expansion pack, Island Paradise, for quite a while now, but if you recall, EA promised plenty of exciting things for The Sims 3 in 2013. So today EA shared some exciting news about what the future holds for the nearly four year old game — basically, a new stuff pack and an all-new world. During a live broadcast, EA revealed the next "stuff pack," The Sims 3 Movie Stuff, and an all-new world from The Sims 3 Store, Dragon Valley.

The Sims 3 Movie Stuff will release in September and offer players various movie themed items, like Western and horror objects. This will allow players to "tell unique stories with loads of distinctively themed décor, furnishings and clothing." More information regarding Movie Stuff will be released in the "coming weeks and months."

The next add-on is Dragon Valley, a new digital world "full of legendary surprises." Dragon Valley features new Sims, locations, and exclusive clothing and objects, including "the beloved baby dragon." The Sims 3 Dragon Valley will be released through The Sims 3 Store, Origin, and in retail stores later this year.

Those add-on and stuff pack are still a few months away, so in the meantime feast your eyes on new screenshots for Island Paradise which is set to release on June 25, 2013.
