The Sims 3 Island Paradise takes us on a mother bleepin’ boat

It's summer time, and the livin's easy. PiƱa colada's, sunshine, and the warm sand beneath your feet. Ah yes, all of this in the new Island Paradise expansion for The Sims 3. I know, I know, The Sims 4 is on its way, but why not pass some time this summer with a new expansion that lets you build custom houseboats, dive beneath the ocean, explore uncharted islands, and own and manage your very own resort?

In today's video, The Sims 3 Island Paradise assistant producer, Graham Nardone, leads us on a voyage aboard the SS Nardone. The walkthrough gives us a more in depth look at some of the features and elements in the newest expansion including space saving objects unique to houseboats, new dive lots where you can explore underwater areas, and the ability to build your own resort. But be warned, managing a resort could be more work than you may be used to.

The Sims 3 Island Paradise sets sail on June 25, 2013. It is currently available for pre-order which earns you the Limited Edition version of the game.
