Remember Katy Perry's song "California Girls". Or rather, remember the music video to that – with all of the gumdrops and candy canes and cupcakes and sugar and sprinkles and diabetes. Well, it's all coming to The Sims 3. Except EA may be leaving out the diabetes.
EA today announced The Sims 3 Katy Perry's Sweet Treats will arrive this June on PC and Mac.
In the new expansion, "players can sweeten up their Sims’ lives with Katy Perry-inspired, candylicious items that will enhance their game experience such as décor, furniture, objects and of course, fashions and hairstyles."
Turn your Sims game into a whimsical Candyfornia complete with cupcake-themed guitars, candy playground equipment, and cotton candy trees. The Sims 3 Katy Perry's Sweet Treats includes all-new items like banana split sofas, fountains made of candy, waffle cone picnic tables, and much more. Fashions in the game are inspired from Katy Perry's red carpet appearances, music videos, and concert performances.
“I’m delighted to bring you more with The Sims 3 Sweet Treats," said Perry. "I love some of the accessories so much that I am going to get some of them made in real life! It's one of my small life goals to sit on a banana split couch."
The new expansion also includes a Simlish (the official language of The Sims) version of "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" which Katy Perry recorded specifically for Sweet Treats.
"Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' is a really fun song to sing along to in any language, so I thought why not in Simlish?" Katy said of singing the Simlish version of the track.
Even more delectable are the pre-built venues that are included. Take a dip amidst the sweet surroundings of Patty's Natural Baths, an all-new pool venue, complete with bubble gum pink lounge chairs and a licorice-themed slippy slide. Or you can head over to the Bonbon Lawn Park and check out the candy playground equipment. If you still haven't hit your sugar high, head over to Cake Pleasure Dome, the town's charming local hangout.
The Sims 3 Katy Perry's Sweet Treats is currently available for pre-order from Origin for $29.99.
