The Sims 3 Supernatural gets hairy with werewolf details

Team Jacob fans gather 'round, we've got all the hairy details about werewolves in The Sims 3 Supernatural, a new expansion that introduces players to a mysterious world filled with magic and mischief, vampires and witches.

Like Jacob in Twilight, werewolves in The Sims 3 Supernatural "embody strength, passion and unbridled emotion, combining human tenderness with beastly power and a heavy dash of unpredictability."

In The Sims 3 Supernatural you can live as a werewolf Sim, wielding the ability to morph in between human and beast form, whether by will or by an uncontrollable transformation caused by low mood or a full moon. Sims will undergo a drastic change in appearance that includes a wider nose, sharper bottom canines, and ears that point back. Of course, your hair will grow wilder and fuller, eyebrows bushier, and fur will appear on your hands, feet, and shoulders. Last but not least, large claws will extend from your fingertips.

Being a werewolf in Supernatural won't just come with physical appearance changes. You will develop a lycanthropy skill which will reduce the uncontrollable transformations and increase your hunting prowess.

Werewolves will be able to reproduce with fellow beasts or other Sims with a 50/50 chance of producing werewolf offspring when mating with a non-werewolf. Werewolf toddlers will display some animalistic behaviors such as howling, scratching, and practicing hunting.

For those looking to feed their inner-beast, this looks like a perfect outlet. This latest expansion may be a little over the top, but hey this is The Sims; let's have a little fun here. Team Jacob for the win!
