Tucked away in an announcement for today's release of the Outdoor Retreat Game Pack, EA revealed that The Sims 4 will be coming to Mac some time in February 2015.
It was a brief mention — we don't even have an exact release date — but EA did confirm that everyone who owns The Sims 4 on PC will get the Mac version free of charge, so that's kind of neat.
We'll have to wait a bit longer for more specific details, like official pricing, if this "cross-buy" type of promotion will be offered to future customers, or if you can sync up your city between both versions so you can seamlessly switch between playing on PC and Mac. I also wonder if you'll be able to play both versions at once or if it's an either-or type deal.
Regardless, we at least have a release window. So now we just play the waiting game.
