EA and Maxis have announced the official release of The Sims 4's first "game pack", Outdoor Retreat.
Available for download today from Origin and other online retailers for $19.99, Outdoor Retreat is inspired by the Stuff Packs from The Sims 2. It provides new gameplay features, new objects, and new clothing based around one central theme, which in this case is the great outdoors. As such, you will be able to take your Sims on a vacation to Granite Falls where they will explore new land, set up camp, uncover rare collectibles, and gather round the campfire to share spooky stories, stargaze, and more.
More specific features include a Herbalism skill which can be used to create a variety of useful remedies, such as insect repellent to a concoction that helps soothe a tense Sim. There are also new outfits, including Bear costumes. Because apparently the great outdoors isn't complete without a Bear costume.
