The Sims 4 will offer more objects in the base game than ever before

If you're like me and enjoy the house building/designing aspect of The Sims franchise, then you'll be happy to know that The Sims 4 will offer you the most amount of objects in the base game than ever before.

"There's a lot of objects in the base game," EA's Charlie Sinhaseni told me. "In fact, The Sims 4 has the most objects we've ever shipped in any Sims base game.

"There's a lot of really great stuff in there that we've not had before, like the piano in the base game. We've got a lot of skill items, a lot of activity games," he added. One of those knew objects was shown off during a demo of the game. Kim Jong Un — because why not — came to the house and started using a steampunk looking cupcake machine that eventually caught on fire and killed everyone. Morbid, I know; but, it's just an example of the wide variety of objects that'll be available in the game from the start.

And if you don't find that specific object you're looking for, you can always turn to the Gallery which features hundreds of user-created items. As explained last week, EA is looking to simply and streamline the process of adding user-created content into your game. Using the new Gallery, you can sort through created items, download them, and add them to your house directly from within the game with just a click of a button.

So with the largest amount of items in the base game and a virtually endless amount of user generated content at your fingertips, you shouldn't have any problem finding the look you're going for with your house. And if you still can't find what you're looking for, I'm sure it'll arrive in a future expansion pack.
