Looking to capture the fear and tension evoked by Ridley Scott's 1979 classic film Alien, Creative Assembly has placed a tremendous emphasis on the sound of their new game Alien: Isolation.
"Sound is a massive component of any horror experience, and that's definitely the case with Alien," acknowledges Alien: Isolation creative lead Al Hope in a new dev diary highlighting the creative process behind the game's sound.
In the video, Creative Assembly discusses how careful they've been in remaining true to the audio composition of the original film, from the orchestral soundtrack to the actual sound effects.
Alien: Isolation will be available on October 7, 2014, for Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
