In case you missed it, last night Disney, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox unviled the Star Wars Digital Movie Collection — all six epic Star Wars films bundled together on Digital HD, and with all new never-before-seen bonus material.
One of the platforms it'll be available on is Xbox, and as a digital distribution launch partner Microsoft has secured exclusives for Xbox customers who purchase the Collection on Xbox Video.
Fans who purchase the bundle on Xbox Video will receive R2-D2 as an Xbox LIVE avatar companion "that flashes characteristics of classic R2-D2 from A New Hope." Also included with the Xbox version is the Star Wars Pinball Pack for the free-to-play game Pinball FX2, for Xbx One or Xbox 360.
In addition to Microsoft's goodies, Disney is also offering a Star Wars featurette video exclusively for Xbox customers. By pre-purchasing the Collection on Xbox Vidoe, customers will receive an exclusive roughly 60-second senak peek at the bonus material included in the Star Wars Digital Movie Collection. The featurette will become available once the Collection is pre-purchased, with all six films in the Collection releasing on April 10.
The Star Wars Digital Movie Collection can be pre-purchased now on Xbox Video for $99.99. Each individual movie is priced at $19.99.
