The Suicide Squad film gets first look and cast details

Although 2016’s Suicide Squad film was a financial success, it was a critical bomb. Still, there was enough potential that DC wanted to do a sequel. When Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn suddenly had an opening, DC offered him a chance to direct the sequel titled The Suicide Squad.

Now, after wrapping earlier this year, we have first details of the film including a sneak peak. The Suicide Squad has been described as being in the style of a “gritty 70s war film”. It looks like the Suicide Squad will be getting down and dirty in some slightly tropical location but don’t worry, it’s still got the comedic elements. Gunn noted that it’s really funny, the action is great, and it’s dramatic where it needs to be.
