The Surge is getting an expansion called ‘A Walk in the Park’

The surprisingly adept Souls-like Sci-Fi RPG, The Surge is finally back in the news and publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced the game is getting an expansion called "A Walk In The Park." The expansion serves as a contrast to the industrial complex of CREO by bringing players to an outdoor theme park that's far more colorful.

That said, danger still lurks pretty much everywhere you look, as the theme park was also subjected to the effects of the disaster. Players will face off against rescue teams that have gone insane and the robotic mascots that once entertained the family members of CREO employees. The theme park, like the main game, offers branching paths, opening up new ways to explore the environment and the expansion culminates in an epic and challenging boss fight.

A Walk In The Park will give players 16 all-new weapons, sets of armor, and implants to play around with to refine their battle strategy further.

There is no release date yet set for A Walk In The Park, but Focus Home Interactive has also announced a Complete Edition of the game, which will feature both the main game and the expansion and will release "at the end of the year."

The Surge is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
