The Talos Principle expansion, Road to Gehenna gets release date

Croteam's philosophical puzzler, The Talos Principle, will be getting its first expansion later this month titled, Road to Gehenna.  The expansion was initially announced back in March on the Croteam blog and will consist of four new episodes with difficult puzzles meant to challenge more experienced players who have already climbed the Tower.  Narratively, the expansion will take players to a new society with its own unique history and set of beliefs as well as new characters, all in an attempt to show a different side of the world.

"We wanted to revisit the world of The Talos Principle and deliver new characters and a new world with its own history and culture," co-writer Tom Jubert notes.  "With Road to Gehenna we have created an all-new narrative which both branches off from and expands the original character’s journey."

The Talos Principle released late last year in December of 2014 to near universal praise from critics, earning an average score of 85 on Metacritic.  Both the game and its expansion are due to release on Playstation 4 sometime this year, though no concrete release date has been given.
