Late last month, Square Enix launched a new expansion for Final Fantasy 11, which debuted on PC in 2003 and later came to PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360. The publisher also released a value-sized edition of the game with all its contents to date.
The Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition costs $39.99 and is now available on Steam. It's a good solution for gamers who don't own the full game but want to try the fifth expansion, Seekers of Aldouin, which requires the original disc to play.
Square Enix didn't make the upgrade for PlayStation 2, though, so players will need choose between Xbox 360 or PC.
Valve is offering players a discount if they want to upgrade from a previous Steam version to the Seekers Edition. The expansion pack alone is not for sale on Steam "due to technical difficulties."
The massively multiplayer online role-playing game requires a monthly subscription fee to play. A basic plan costs $11.95.
