The V Motion Project combines dubstep and Kinect into my worst nightmare

Dubstep gives me a headache. It gives me more than a headache. It's like the early signs of an aneurysm. Dubstep is to music what anal is to sex — you can dabble in it a few times but never make it your go-to choice. The same thing goes for gaming and the Kinect. Yea, there's some games that do it right like Just Dance, Dance Central, Once Upon a Monster, and Kinect Disneyland Adventures. The problem is, there's so many bad games for the Kinect that it turned into a gimmick with poor application. Now when I see my favorite games add a Kinect feature that I'll never use, I cringe.

So what if I told you that there was something called the V Motion Project that turned the Kinect into an instrument. Using the motions of your body, you could put together songs. If there's one thing the Kinect does right, it's music/dance games. And the guy in the video is essentially dancing to make the music… him and his scumbag 'fight against the beat' dance moves. I don't know the guy — I just know I hate dubstep. Although I do have the same kicks as him.

I wouldn't expect to see this on your Xbox any time soon, so don't get too excited. As much as I dislike the music, the tech is really impressive, and it gives me hope for the application of Kinect technology in the future. The one thing I really want to know is how they got the Kinect to be so responsive in such poor lighting… and outdoors!
