The visual representation of Medal of Honor: Warfighter

It was finally revealed that Medal of Honor: Warfighter, the sequel to the 2010 reboot, will be released October of this year.  Confirmed in the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine, MoH: Warfighter will be developed by Danger Close Studios using the Frostbite 2.0 engine, the same engine used on Battlefield 3.

Acknowledging the game, the Medal of Honor website addressed the new game with a post.

"We’re excited to bring you up to speed on the next Medal of Honor, titled Medal of Honor Warfighter," a statement on the site read.  "More details to come in the next few weeks but, we’d like to share a visual inspiration and representation of this title now."

Save the Date's were sent out earlier this month for an event on March 6th dedicated to Medal of Honor.  I expect we'll hear more at the Game Developers Conference.

It definitely looks gritty.  And using the Frostbite 2.0 engine, it's practically guaranteed to look marvelous.  Battlefield 3, which introduced Frostbite 2.0, has received tremendous praise for its graphics and destructible environments.

What are your thoughts on the inspiration and presentation?
