Update: Well, maybe the wait's not quite over. Insomniac Games has tweeted, "Deadlocked HD servers are still offline. SCEA is investigating. Once we hear something we'll let you know."
The original Ratchet & Clank developer has also confirmed that this is the HD version, as suspected.
Original story: Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PlayStation Vita is finally available today after months of waiting. As an added bonus, Deadlocked HD — the remaster of the PlayStation 2 game Ratchet: Deadlocked — is also available digitally for $10.
Last week's update mentioned that developer Idol Minds was almost finished with the game. What's confusing, though, is that the description on the PlayStation Blog doesn't mention HD although comments from community manager Kristine Steimer seem to indicate that it's the new version. It's also classified under "PSN" rather than "PS2 Classics."
Just in case, though, we've reached out for confirmation.
Full Frontal Assault costs $20 for Vita and is a cross-buy title with the PS3 version. Because of the delays earlier this year, Deadlocked is a free download for anyone who purchased the game for PS3 — either on-disc or digitally. There is no deadline on this promotion.
