The season ended in a cliffhanger with Alexandria having been overrun with walkers and Rick and company attempting to flee the season under the guise of zombie blood. The post-episode prolouge, however, showed what Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham were up to during the midseason finale, while teasing the arrival of a new villain: Negan. While you can watch that prologue here, the above premiere trailer pretty much gives you a good idea at what's in store for our group.
